  This would have been a five star if it had not been for the traffic noise about 5.30 clearly heard despite the double glazing due to being on a roundabout and the very hard mattress. Bar service, food and staff all very good.

  Went there to use the gym and pool. Gym is old and small but clean and functional. The pool area is also small but pleasant to use with steam and sauna. Staff were friendly and helpful.

  I LOVE The Aberdeen Altens! Every time I’ve stayed I’ve received an extremely warm welcome – going way beyond my expectations, it’s so nice to arrive at a hotel to a personal welcome greeting – they really go the extra mile. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are great and the breakfast is AMAZING – lovely food and a fantastic selection which suits vegetarians also. Jennifer Kidd in the salon is lovely and did a fantastic job putting my hair up for a couple of events (one at VERY short notice). I’ve yet to try the spa but I’m looking forward to doing that at my earliest opportunity. Many thanks Team Aberdeen Altens – you’re awesome! If you’re reading this go and see them – you won’t be disappointed!

  Nice hotel we upgraded our room to an apartment it was worth the extra £10. Hot breakfast was great but the bakery side of it wasn't up to much. Pool was closed which was disappointing

  Lovely hotel in side not much to look at from the outside meals where good room was good can't think of anything bad to say
